On July 16, Bajaj Auto reported strong Q1FY25 earnings Come from Sports betting site VPbet . Its Q1 net profit came in at Rs 1,941.79 crore, up 18% YoY on the back of consistent demand, higher two-wheeler sales and lower input costs.
The company’s revenue during the Apr-Jun quarter rose 16% on year to Rs 11,932 crore, aided by healthy vehicle sales and high spares revenue, leading to an increase in average selling price. Bajaj Auto’s average selling price rose by 8% on year which was led by a 760 basis points improvement in 125cc and higher category motorcycles.

A day after the Union Budget 2024-25 was tabled in Parliament proposing a slew of changes in the rates of different taxes, and heightened effort to ease compliance, Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) chairman Ravi Agarwal spoke to Priyansh Verma on the rationale behind some of these measures.
