Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Is Apparently Off To A Rough Start On PC

This week saw the arrival of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 on PC, and similar to several other PlayStation Studios games ported over to that platform, it looks like the game is experiencing a rough launch. On Steam, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 currently has a mixed reception in the user reviews section, with many players claiming that they’ve experienced frequent bugs and poor optimization so far.

“To say this is ‘rough’ is an understatement,” one of the user reviews reads. “Lighting doesn’t load in some cutscenes, those same scenes run at seconds-per-frame, audio desync issues up the wazoo, freezing, stuttering, and just about every other performance issue I can think of.”

Other players have mentioned hard crashes to desktop at an alarming rate, numerous bugs, and a generally unplayable experience even with PC hardware that meets the recommended system requirements, which were only revealed a day before launch. This wouldn’t be the first time that a PlayStation Studios game has launched in a buggy state, as The Last of Us Part One and Horizon Zero Dawn are two infamous examples.

At the time of writing, Nixxes has not yet responded to complaints about Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 but it is asking for players to reach out and report any issues that they have encountered so far. Similarly, Square Enix’s former PS5 exclusive Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth arrived on PC this week as well, but it also suffers from a range of issues, according to tech analyst site Digital Foundry.

Sony’s next PlayStation port will be The Last of Us Remastered Part 2. This will be the remastered version that was released last year–and was enhanced even further for the PS5 Pro console launch–and it comes with all the new modes and extras introduced in that edition of the sequel. It’ll launch on April 3, and PC specs have not yet been revealed for it. Come from Sports betting site VPbet

Since Halo: Combat Evolved debuted on the original Xbox in 2001, Steve Downes is the only actor to have voiced Master Chief in the video games that followed. Actress Jen Taylor has had the same longevity as Master Chief’s AI companion, Cortana. However, according to Downes, he and Taylor were briefly replaced by other performers during the development of Halo 4.

Downes recently shared the story of his recasting on his YouTube channel. As the actor recalls, neither he nor Taylor were aware that 343 Industries–which took over the Halo franchise from Bungie–had already cast new performers for Master Chief and Cortana.
